I'm not going to lie, when I first saw the name "Greek Yogurt" on a shampoo bottle I was a little confused and a lot skeptical. As it turns out though, I was totally wrong to doubt Hask. They are actually some pretty great haircare products.
I always see people embarking on commendable spending bans when it comes to makeup but that always seemed too extreme for me, especially since I am also trying to run a blog and try new things. I figured I would share the tips and tricks I use to curb my makeup budget without having to resort to a total spending ban because honestly, life is just too short to not have fun. A lot of these tips can probably be used for trying to spend less in general, whether it be makeup or something else, but I know that beauty is definitely one thing I always feel tempted to splurge on.
I was lucky enough to be sent 6 of the 12 new Fiji Spring/Summer Collection shades from OPI to try out for you guys. Think beaches, tropical islands and gorgeous resorts! Even though the southern hemisphere is headed into winter right now, it is always sunny where I live so I think I can pull it off. Plus, I will definitely be saving these for spring and summer because the shades are so bright and fun.
Skinstitut has been really buzzing on social media and in the bloggersphere lately and for good reason... they offer some pretty fantastic skincare at really quite affordable prices. I bought a few products myself and loved them. Then I was lucky enough to be gifted the rest of the range suited to dry skin. I have been using this skincare range exclusively for the past month, with the exception of the Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micelle Solution ($42.99) to remove my makeup and Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask ($37) because I just can't give them up. Settle in guys, this is going to be one seriously in depth review of the whole range for dry and dehydrated skin.
Another month, another batch of favourites. March has been pretty laid back for me and I'm enjoying my last month or two of laid back life before the full time job search begins in earnest and I become an official career woman. For now though, I hope you enjoy my favourites and let me know what you have been loving this month.
I was lucky enough to be sent this beautiful Bobbi Brown Pretty Powerful Pot Rouge for Lips and Cheeks ($50) which is part of a continuing campaign that was founded in 2013 and works with organisations to make education and learning accessible to woman and girls globally. Even though I had never heard of this campaign previously, after researching it I am definitely on board! Women having access to the education they need to succeed is something I really firmly believe in.
I was lucky enough to be invited to a great even at the Lush Queen St Brisbane store with Bloggers United last month. A bunch of us Queensland based beauty bloggers got together for dinner and then a fantastic run down of how to make Lush masks and basically just hang out in the Lush store after hours with good company.
