#Blogmas Day 2: Christmas Decor Picks

Saturday, 2 December 2017
I am so ridiculously into Christmas decor and generally buying pretty things to decorate for the holiday season. Honestly, I never really used to be as obsessed with Christmas decor but I think it is an occupational hazard of being a blogger and seeing what so many other amazing lifestyle bloggers are doing. I put together a collection of my favourite Christmas decorations available from the big Australian retailers and plan to collect as many as I can! Basically, I combed through all the websites to find the best knick-knacks so you didn't have to.

Of course I had to start with Kmart because they always do the most beautiful home wares for the most affordable prices.
  • Mini House Advent Calendar $12 - This one is just so cute and affordable! I checked it out in store and still might pick it up. It does look fairly thin and not exceptional quality, but I think at Christmas time, most of us are just looking for things that are cute and affordable, and this definitely fits the bill!
  • 3 Pack Bottle Brush Trees $8 - These come in 3 different sizes and are available in packs of green or white trees. They are really tiny and cute and I think they would look adorable on a table with some scattered baubles.
  • Wreath with Baubles $15 - This is one of the nicest, fullest, most luxe looking wreaths I managed to find at a really affordable price. I actually love that it is a bit more understated and not just a mass of baubles. I really think I am going to buy this one.
  • Battery Operated Pre-Lit Glittered Tree 60cm $15 - I thought this would be such an adorable tree for someone who just wanted to do Christmas on a small scale. It would also be super cute to have on your desk at work if you want to fend off the office grinches! You can easily pick up mini baubles really cheap - I bought this pack of 25 for $3 and they are really cute. Basically, you can really do it up right with lights and baubles, all for under $20!
  • Christmas LED Laser Cut Star Decoration $20 - This is so beautiful and intricate! If you are going for a more rustic Christmas aesthetic, this would be amazing with the raw wood finish.
  • Christmas Reindeer Glass Dome Cloche 23cm $20 - I absolutely love glass cloches and think they look so classic. This is a beautiful one with a laser reindeer forest cut out inside, lit by a little battery operated LED. This is actually one of those decorations that you could keep up all round, depending on your home decor.
  • Christmas Luxe Wreath $29 -  This glitter wreath is so much prettier in person! It is actually a really great size (50cm diameter) and looks a lot more expensive than it is. Will you get glitter absolutely everywhere? Yep, but it will be worth it because this wreath is gorgeous.
  • Mono Luxe Bauble Spiral Christmas Tree $10 - This would be another brilliant mini tree on a budget because it comes ready to go with a star and baubles all for under $10. It stands 30cm tall so it is a nice desk top size.
Big W
  • Merry Christmas Gold Tealight Candle Holder $10 - Who doesn't love burning candles at Christmas? This is a really nice decoration that would look even better when back-lit by some tealight candles at night.
  • Snowflake Christmas Stocking $10 - This stocking is really cute and quite modern in its shabby chic aesthetic. If you want to do the stocking thing but don't want to go for traditional red velvet, it would be a great option.
  • Large Silver Reindeer Table Decoration $12 - I love reindeer decorations and these beautiful ones are really affordable and come in silver and gold and two different sizes. They are labelled as table decoration but you can really use them throughout your home.
  • Christmas Decor Gold & White Trees 4 Pack $8 - These are some more table top decorations that would really go with the white/gold Christmas theme.

  • Vue Luxe Glitter Wire Tree with Stars $19.99 - There are so many cute glitter mini trees this year! I think this one is a particular standout, but of course it is a little more expensive.
  • Australia House & Garden Eucalyptus Prelit Battery Operated Wreath with Berries and Burlap Bow $89.99 - I found a lot of amazing affordable wreath options but if you wanted to splurge, this one is gorgeous. It has a battery operated light pack and really does look luxe and high end.
  • Australian House & Garden Eucalyptus Faux Berry Wreath with Plastic Leaves $9.99 - I actually purchased this one for my blog photos. Even though it is a tree decoration, it is actually a decent size (about 13cm in diameter) and would make a really great general decoration. It is actually really great quality and looks like it costs a lot more than ten bucks.
Bed Bath N' Table
  • Traditional Snowy Ball & Bell Pine Garland 1.8m $59.95 - Bed Bath N' Table really came through with beautiful luxe Christmas decorations, and while they aren't Kmart-affordable, they are actually pretty well priced. This was one of the few beautiful garlands I found for less than 100 bucks. If I had a fireplace to decorate, I would be all over it. Sometimes it sucks to miss out on the winter wonderland because of a southern hemisphere Christmas.
  • Traditional Mistletoe Stem Small 3 Assorted $7.95 - These would look gorgeous popped in a mason jar or vintage jar like they one they have pictured.
  • Lunar Porcelain Gold Sitting Reindeer $16.95 - How beautiful is this? It really isn't that much more expensive than the cheap plastic reindeer and it is beautiful porcelain. I actually tried to pick this one up but my store was sold out. I'm going to keep looking though.
  • Woodland Pine/Jute Wreath 45cm $39.95 - This is a beautiful rustic wreath that would really suit a country Christmas aesthetic. Bed Bath N' Table actually has a lot of beautiful wreaths that are a step up from Target and Kmart without totally breaking the bank.
So there you have my top picks of the Christmas decor available from the big Australian shops. Of course, there are a lot of other places to get decorations but a lot of them didn't have their collections online. I know that H&M has a lot of cute things at the moment but only a handful are on their websites. I would love to know what the cutest Christmas decoration you have found so far this year is, so let me know in the comments below. Also, stay tuned for the rest of #Blogmas! I will be posting everyday with Christmas related content, right up to the 25th.
