september beauty makeup favourites review
Another month and a batch of favourites. September was particularly successful for me because I found a lot of new products that quickly became obsessions. Each of these products have quickly become firm favourites!

It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream $58
It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream review
I have really been loving this on my lighter makeup days because it really evens out my skin tone but still lets my skin shine through and look really natural. It is quite dewy and allows you to build up to a medium coverage, which lasts pretty well throughout the day on my dry skin. I think it is amazing for dry to normal skin  as long as you don't need a lot of coverage. I am pretty happy with my skin these days and just want a light product to even things out and this CC cream is perfect. I also love that it is good for my skin too. You can read my full review here.

Mecca Cosmetica All Set Makeup Perfecting Mist $35
Mecca Cosmetica All Set Makeup Perfecting Mist review
I received this as a part of a particularly generous Mecca birthday gift (reviewed here) and absolutely fell in love. It is a particularly dewy mist that makes my very dry skin looks so luminous, even when I use a fair bit of powder to set my makeup. The mist spray nozzle is my favourite part of this product though. It is so incredibly fine and mists my face perfectly without leaving a single trace of droplets. Every single setting spray should have this spray nozzle. The only downside though is that you only get 45mL for $35 which makes it quite pricey and I ran through it pretty quickly. I have refilled the bottle with my second favourite Maybelline Master Fix Setting Spray ($15.95) to make the most of the amazing nozzle but I will still repurchase this in the future because its the best setting spray I've ever used.

L'Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara (around $25 on eBay)
L'Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara review
I reviewed this one earlier in the month (here) and I have been using it every single day. Unfortunately, it still isn't out in Australia and won't be until sometime next year (grrrr!) but it is fairly easy to get on eBay. I have been using it every single day since I got it and I absoutely love how it amplifies my lashes and makes them voluminous and perfectly separated. It is easily the best mascara I have used! It also wears really well and doesn't smudge. When I really build it up with three or so layers it can flake a tiny bit towards the end of the day but that easily sweeps away and happens with a lot of mascaras if you apply a lot. I love the formula, brush, everything!
Two coats - look at all those lashes!

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Paaarty $38
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Paaarty review
This one was another free birthday gift, this time from Sephora. I got this little mini and immediately fell in love. I pretty much exclusively wear pink blushes of various shades but I really got hooked on this nude shade that looks really natural and gives a tiny natural blush. I really like wearing this when I use more bronzer so it keeps things balanced. It is a beautiful shade when I am doing a fully nude, pared back look and I have been using it a lot. The Tarte blush formula is absolutely beautiful too and really lasts throughout the day so you can't really go wrong.

Essie Gel Couture Polish $16.95
Essie Gel Couture Polish review take me to the thread
After trying and loving the bright red shade "Rock the Runway" I have already purchased three more shades: Model Clicks (deep wine), Twill Seeker (dark mauve with fine green glitter), and Take Me To The Thread (pictured). They have really impressed me with their shiny finish, amazing application and lasting power. Not many polishes truly last more than a few days and these do consistently! I haven't actually managed to truly chip them. The ends get wear at day 4-5 which makes me want to refresh my polish but they don't really chip off in big chunks. I didn't even chip it washing the car, which is a total first. It's by far my favourite formula and I am well on my way to collecting all 25 shades. I am actually going to Priceline tomorrow because they have them on sale for $10.17 (40% off) until 11th October.

To prove longevity, this picture was taken on day 5 with only tip wear - no chips!

Do you have any of these products and do you like them too? Will you be rushing out to get your hands on my favourites? Also let me know in the comments below what you were loving last month because I am always looking for new, amazing products.

Disclaimer: I either paid for all of these products myself or received them as birthday gifts with the Mecca and Sephora loyalty programs. As always, my opinions are my own.

  6. Such great faves! I love the IT CC cream too. I have oily skin so it doesn't last quite as well on me, but I still love the finish and coverage! I'm so devo I dropped down from level 2 of Mecca Beauty loop just as they got that awesome bday gift! I'm so jealous haha! I love that Tarte blush as well, and I really want to try Lash Paradise. I can wait till it gets here though seeing as I have soooo many mascaras already haha.
