Declutter Series: Customisable Eyeshadow Palettes

Friday, 7 July 2017
I have a few custom eyeshadow pans that I was able to pick myself but weirdly I really don't use them much. I often just reached for my tried and true palettes first or, when I do reach for my 15 shade MAC palette, I use the same handful of shades and don't touch the rest. For this reason, it seemed logical to let some of them go.

So I have pans from both MAC and Inglot:

  • MAC Eyeshadow pans in...
    • Vanilla (light ivory with shimmer)
    • Brulé (matte creamy beige)
    • Grain (gold/peach beige shimmer)
    • Naked Lunch (pink shimmer)
    • All That Glitters (rose gold shimmer)
    • Era (muted beige with subtle gold shimmer)
    • Patina (golden brown shimmer)
    • Sable (bronze shimmer)
    • Woodwinked (warm gold shimmer)
    • Satin Taupe (taupe shimmer)
    • Wedge (matte muted tan)
    • Brun (matte cool-toned brown)
    • Mystery (matte warm brown)
    • Copperplate (matte medium cool grey)
    • Carbon (matte black)
  • Inglot Freedom Eyeshadow pans in...
    • 397 (peach glitter)
    •  154 (warm champagne glitter)
    • 153 (cool muted gold shimmer)
    • 423 (burgundy glitter)
    • 407 (peach/apricot glitter)
    • 419 (khaki green glitter)
    • 399 (muted pink glitter)
    • 39 (bright violet glitter)
    • 494 (deep purple glitter)
    • 428 (royal blue shimmer)
    • 340 (dark bottle green matte)
    • 329 (dark brown matte)
    • 348 (medium grey matte)
    • 344 (mauve matte)
    • 354 (pink beige matte)
    • 569 Brow Powder (cool medium-dark brown)
Keeping
  • MAC Eyeshadow pans in...
    • Grain (gold/peach beige shimmer) - this is a really pretty everyday lid shade
    • Naked Lunch (pink shimmer) -
    • Era (muted beige with subtle gold shimmer)
    • Wedge (matte muted tan)
    • Mystery (matte warm brown)
  • Inglot Freedom Eyeshadow pans in...
    • 397 (peach glitter)
    •  154 (warm champagne glitter)
    • 153 (cool muted gold shimmer)
    • 423 (burgundy glitter)
    • 407 (peach/apricot glitter)
    • 419 (khaki green glitter)
Selling
I am selling all of these for the exact same reason... I simply never use them. In most cases the shades just don't suit my style which is entirely my fault because I chose them.
  • MAC Eyeshadow pans in...
    • Vanilla (light ivory with shimmer)
    • Brulé (matte creamy beige)
    • All That Glitters (rose gold shimmer)
    • Patina (golden brown shimmer)
    • Sable (bronze shimmer)
    • Woodwinked (warm gold shimmer)
    • Satin Taupe (taupe shimmer)
    • Brun (matte cool-toned brown)
    • Copperplate (matte medium cool grey)
    • Carbon (matte black)
  • Inglot Freedom Eyeshadow pans in...
    • 399 (muted pink glitter)
    • 39 (bright violet glitter)
    • 494 (deep purple glitter)
    • 428 (royal blue shimmer)
    • 340 (dark bottle green matte)
    • 329 (dark brown matte)
    • 348 (medium grey matte)
    • 344 (mauve matte)
    • 354 (pink beige matte)
    • 569 Brow Powder (cool medium-dark brown)
So I managed to get rid of quite a lot which makes me happy because they really were just going to waste. I am really proud of myself for parting with most of my MAC palette because I only really used a few shades and the others either didn't suit me or weren't as pigmented as I had hoped so there was no real point keeping them. I hope you enjoyed the latest part in my declutter series and don't forget to check out my other posts because I have been culling a lot of makeup lately!

  3. Ooh I might be interested in some of the mac shades! Gotta check the overlap, how much would you sell them for? Woodwinked is my fave shade 😍

I need to declutter my single shadesas well! I made multiple palettes and I never use them either, even though I chose the colours!

  4. You have such a good collection of MAC eye shadows. You are doing great, i know it is hard but it is a good decision to part with the products you know you are not going to use.

  5. OMG! I can't believe how many MAC eyeshadows you're getting rid of! My MAC palette is my go to, but you are right we always seem to go to the same shades...

    1. It was tough and honestly if I can't get a good price for them I might keep them but it seemed to make sense to move them on since I never use most of them
