OPI Nail Polish Lacquer Fiji Spring Summer 2017 Collection Exotic Birds Living on the Bula-vard! Two-timing the zones I can never hut up Suzi without a paddle Is that a war in your pocket? review swatch swatches
I was lucky enough to be sent 6 of the 12 new Fiji Spring/Summer Collection shades from OPI to try out for you guys. Think beaches, tropical islands and gorgeous resorts! Even though the southern hemisphere is headed into winter right now, it is always sunny where I live so I think I can pull it off. Plus, I will definitely be saving these for spring and summer because the shades are so bright and fun.

So here you have all 12 shades from the collection. As you can see, they are all bright and appropriately beach-y. I have all the ones in the top row. I honestly still might buy more of this collection because "Coconuts Over OPI" in particular looks gorgeous! I really do love the shades available in this range and I think they will be great when summer finally rolls around here in Australia.

OPI Nail Lacquer in Exotic Birds Do Not Tweet $19.95

This is one seriously bright yellow that honestly doesn't really mesh with my pale skin that well. I could see it looking a lot more flattering on olive skin tones. It is a intense, bright yellow that doesn't pull any punches. The formula on this one wasn't quite as good as the others because I needed a thin third coat to really perfect the finish but that is sometimes to be expected with these lighter bright colours. I think if you like the unique shade you should go for it, but it isn't one I will probably wear again.

This was another one that I thought wouldn't really suit my style when I first saw it but I was so happy to be wrong. It is a beautiful bright blood orange that is absolutely perfect for summer. I wear red nails a lot so this is a twist on the classic that I will get a lot of use out of. The formula is good and applies in nice even, quick drying coats. I found I needed a third thin coat to make it totally opaque but it is really easy to work with so I don't mind. Plus, it gets bonus points for reminding me of this hilarious gif.

This is such a pretty Barbie pink that isn't for the faint-hearted but I kind of love it. It isn't the most unique of shades and I'm pretty sure I have one like it but the formula is still spot on and totally opaque in two coats which is slightly better than the other two shades. If the colour catches your eye and you don't already have a slightly mauve-y Barbie pink like this one, I say go for it.

OPI Nail Lacquer in I Can Never Hut Up $19.95

Now this one is definitely unique. It is a cool grey colour that has a subtle blue and green iridescent sparkle to it. Honestly, it isn't one I would have probably chosen myself but after using it, I kind of love it! The formula was great too and it applied easily, lasted well and was opaque in two coats. If you like those modern grey neutrals but want a twist, this might be for you.

OPI Nail Lacquer in Suzi Without A Paddle $19.95

This is definitely one of my favourites! How beautiful is that baby blue? I was actually really pleasantly surprised by the formula of this one too because it was very smooth to apply and totally opaque in two thin coats. It also didn't chip for a good 4 or so days which earns it a big thumbs up from me.

OPI Nail Lacquer in Is That a Spear in Your Pocket? $19.95

You know a nail polish shade is nice when your dental nurse comments on it and asks what brand it's from. This totally happened to me when I was getting my wisdom teeth out last week. Honestly, this is probably my pick of the bunch because it is unique and absolutely lovely dark teal shade that looks so pretty on the nails. As an added bonus, it is opaque in two coats and applies like a dream. Greens are often overlooked in nail polishes but the right shade can look amazing.

So there you have my round up of the 6 shades of the Fiji collection I got to try out for you. Honestly, I still might try more because "Coconuts over OPI" and "Getting Nadi on My Honeymoon" are totally calling my name. Even though we are headed into winter here, I am still going to be wearing them because really, who cares? Which of the shades that I reviewed from this collection caught your eye? Will you be snapping any polishes up from this limited edition collection? Let me know in the comments below.
