Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask review best mask for dry skin
This is is! I've found it! The best hydrating face mask for my chronically dry and dehydrated skin. For the longest time I have been on the hunt for something that could revive my skin when it gets flaky and makes my foundation a nightmare to apply and I have found my savior!

The Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask ($37) ingredients include hyaluronic acid, apricot kernel oil, avocado oil, mango butters and Japanese seaweed to moisturise that quench the skin, provide lasting mositurisation and prevent future moisture loss. I can't begin to describe you how insane the difference is between applying this at night and waking up with soft, plump and moistursed skin.

The scent is actually really lovely which surprised me because I don't like mango at all. It is a lovely thin lotion that applies nicely to look almost invisible and dries down well so it is very easy to sleep in. You can't notice it on the skin after it dries down which makes it perfect for wearing on the plane to prevent dehydration.

I used this mask after I had a facial which left me a little peely. After keeping it on overnight and using an exfoliant the following morning my skin was totally revived. I got a sample from Mecca of this stuff and it took my precisely one application to know that I needed to rush out and buy it. I had a full tube of this stuff before my sample even ran out. I have been using it twice a week and I absolutely love it!

I have loved the Nugg Masks and Skin Republic sheet masks but considering they work out to between $4 and $10 per application, they are much too pricey to use every week. Not to mention, this one is waaaay better. Even though this is slightly higher end and available from Mecca, it actually works out to amazing value. I got four applications out of a tiny sample pot so I am sure this tube will last me ages.

Will you be trying this one out? If you have dry skin at all, I would highly recommend that you do! Just remember, you can grab a sample from Mecca and I guarantee that you will fall in love with it too.

Disclaimer: I paid for this product myself and my opinions are always my own.

  1. Okay you've convinced me haha. I literally have a Mecca Voucher sitting on my bedside table and I think I need this! Even though I'm someone who is extremely oily, whenever I get facials I'm also told that my skin is pretty dehydrated. It's also weird because my nose for example is very oily, but at the same stage the skin there is really sensitive and dry so it's quite cracked or peeled. I think this mask is exactly what I need because my existing hydration mask isn't cutting it as well as it used to! x

    1. You definitely need it in your life! You can still get oily skin when it is dehydrated. Maybe this will help to even things out :) Let me know how you get on with it.

  3. I've never tried an overnight mask before but if it dries down nicely, I guess it wouldn't be a problem. I like the sound of this one and I do love my Origins eye cream, might grab a sample from Mecca!

  5. I absolutely love this mask, it was a god send after I had an allergic reaction that left me dry and irritated. I really need to restock and get another tube to have in the cupboard!

    1. Yeah it is totally affordable, especially when you weigh it against the price of individual sheet masks. Thanks so much :)

  10. I have dry skin and can never find a mask that is continues to keep giving me results. I might get one or 2 shots out of it and then it gets put to the back from the drawer because I feel like it stops working. I'll have to keep this one in mind. Great post.

  12. Having a super dry skin, I always need a good mask for the results I desire. I tried so many of them but no luck! Your post seems very promising and quite interesting at the same time. I would definitely try to order this one and give it a shot. The product seems a bit pricey but I don't care about the price if it serves me. Thank you dear for your amazing and helpful post!

    1. I totally understand, I was similarly pretty disappointed with a lot of the masks I tried too. You should definitely give this one a go because it is easily the best I've ever used. When you compare the price to sheet masks which are quite high per application, it is actually pretty cheap. Clay masks for oily skin are usually cheaper though. Damn our dry skin! Thanks for reading :)
