When I went to Europe at the start of this year I was just as excited for a H&M beauty haul as I was for the villas of Italy! It is so disappointing that Australia still doesn't have the beauty range yet but I live in hope! We need to put the pressure on them on social media because Australia is hardly the far reaches of the earth. Why can't we have nice things too? In any case, I wanted to review these products for readers outside Australia and also in the hope that you will soon be able to get them here too.
H&M Powder Blusher in Cameo Pink £6.99
I had head amazing things about their blushes as well as this particular shade. When I saw it and realised that it was actually a little different from all the blushes in my collection as well as being a nice light shade for my skin tone, I couldn't resist. I adore the packaging and don't mind that there is no mirror. The plastic is a tiny bit light but the black and gold contrast and sleek shape just feels so luxe. The formula is soft and incredibly blendable and this Cameo pink shade gave me the most beautiful soft flush that looks really natural. It is subtle though so I think it would only show up on light and medium skin tones.
H&M High Impact Eye Colour in Candied Almond £4.99
The single eyeshadows are probably the most hyped product in the range so of course I had to get at least one. The colour range is gorgeous and really quite extensive but I'm at a point now that I have most kinds of shades in my palette collection which is why I didn't get more. Again, the packaging is light plastic but completely gorgeous. Candied Almond looked a bit unique as a satin shadow in a warm mid brown. The formula is so soft and buttery to the touch and it just blends beautifully. I can safely say you can't go wrong with the satin formulas and I definitely want to try more.
H&M Cream Lipstick in Powder Puff and Classic Cardinal £7.99
I couldn't be lucky enough to absolutely love all the products I purchased. These aren't necessarily bad and I know a lot of people love them but the formula isn't my favourite. It is indeed very creamy and incredibly glossy but it also really thin and slippy so it feels like it moves around on my lips a lot. It actually kind of reminds me the YSL Rouge Volupte lipstick formula. That said though, the shades are very opaque and high impact. It just feels like it isn't secure and is going to slide and make a mess so I prefer a proper cream lipstick that stays put. I will say though that the Cardinal Red shade is less slippy and generally better than Powder Puff and thank god because such an intense colour that feels like it is moving around would give me serious anxiety.
H&M Lip Definer in Prarie Sunset and Pressed Petals £3.99
This formula is seriously creamy and I love it!. There aren't many lip liners that I can apply on my dry lips with out pulling and balling up and this is one of them! I like the feel of it and it lasts well throughout the day but will of course wear off when you eat. As for the shades, Prarie Sunset is a beautiful rose pink shade while Pressed Petals is a lot warmer. Both are medium pink shades though. I really wished I had have bought more shades of these.
So as you can tell, I really really love most of these. I really don't understand why they haven't brought these to Australian H&M stores because the price points are so affordable. Plus, because drugstore brands cost more here, it would be even more competitive in the Australian market if they kept consistent pricing as H&M usually does. If you are really desperate, you can use a US forwarding shipping service and shop on the US site. I have used Comgateway before and would wholeheartedly recommend it. Remember though, the more of us that bug H&M Australia via social media to release this range, the better chance we have.
Which is your favourite of my picks? Will you be helping me to pester H&M Australia to finally bring the beauty range to our seriously deprived shores? Let me know in the comments below.

They have really stepped up their makeup line, I love the look of the blush and that packaging is so spot on!

The whole line is gorgeous. Considering the price point is similar or even cheaper than Rimmel and Maybelline, the packaging is absolutely lovely. Thanks for reading :)

I'm so bummed I didn't pick up any of this! They look so pretty!

The lip liners look great! I've only visited H&M in Australia once when I was on holiday as we don't have one in Adelaide. They totally should release the makeup here though!
ReplyDeleteDi from Max The Unicorn
I do love H&M Australia but I would love them a whole lot more if they released the beauty range here. I can't believe they don't have one in Adelaide yet though. Thanks for reading.

I really want to try the makeup! H&M Australia hurry up already!
ReplyDeleteAgreed! Make sure you contact them on Insta or Twitter so it isn't just me bugging them for it haha.
DeleteWow these look amazing! I looked at H&M make up when I was in Italy last year and I wish I had bought some now, those lip colours look amazing!

You totally should have! The nail polishes are also pretty great too. I will be reviewing them soon.
DeleteAll the products you picked up are beautiful! I love the colours!! That blush looks so nice, and I bet it compliments your skin tone amazingly Emma!!

Aw thank you! I am really loving my choices too but so I should, I agonised over them for so long. They probably thought I was so weird staying at the stands for well over half an hour and taking photos of everything haha.
DeleteThe Blush and eyeshadow look amazing and reasonably priced too. Wish we could get them in Australia :)
ReplyDeleteYeah the prices are really great, especially since we pay more for drugstore brands here so they are actually cheaper in most product lines.
DeleteLoving the shades they look so stunning on you
ReplyDeleteAw thanks so much. Thank you for stopping by.
DeleteI've heard soooo many AMAZING things about the H&M beauty line. My fave from your haul is the blush and the eyeshadow! They look great, I wish they would bring the beauty line to Australia!

Join tha nagging campaign on social media! I feel like we should create a #hmbeautyaustralia hashtag to bug them with. The blush is definitely one of my favourites too.
DeleteThese are really cute products and we are really lacking something like this in Australia I reckon!
ReplyDeleteI'm liking the look of that blush :)

I'm less hopeful because it has been SOOOO long and there are still no plans. I hope they do arrive though so you can try the blush :)
DeleteI am SO disappointed that the beauty range still hasn't launched here yet! I read articles saying it was supposed to come over last year... -_- I picked up a few bits while I was in the US and I'm so glad I did. I have Cameo pink too and it is sooo gorgeous! I also adore the eyeshadow in Baci de Dama.
ReplyDeleteTasha // shiwashiful.
I'm so disappointed too. I saw the same articles you did and still... nothing. If it ever does arrive though, I'll have to check out that eyeshadow. Thanks for reading :)
