I was lucky enough to receive this package, complete with my own personalised headband, to try out the latest addition to the Garnier Micellar Water range. Garnier offers great Micellar options at the drugstore. My favourite will always be the Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micelle Solution ($42.99), Garnier offers a great affordable option. Also, can we just pause to admire the cute little personalised headband they sent me! L'Oreal group does the cutest little PR packages.

Now I have tried the original Garnier Micellar but unfortunately it gave me bletharitis (a minor inflammation of the eyelid) twice, which thankfully didn't happen with this one. As far as I know, that is just a weird me thing because I know a ton of people who use the original Garnier Micellar everyday and love it. This Micellar Water in Oil sounded a bit weird to me at first because, while I'm pretty terrible at chemistry, we all know that water and oil don't mix. That said, I did quite like using this one. It claims to be non-greasy and I would agree with that though it does have a tell-tale oil feel at first which quickly soaks in to leave the skin feeling moisturised. It also has a really pleasant fragrance but that might be a problem for those with super sensitive skin who usually have issues with fragrance. As for the water-proof make-up removing claims, it definitely does remove waterproof mascara better than a normal micellar thanks to the oil. It still took a bit of scrubbing but than again, it usually does which is why I hate waterproof mascara. All in all, I really do like this as a good affordable micellar, especially for those who use waterproof makeup.

Garnier Micellar Oil-Infused Cleansing Wipes $7.99

These are quite nice and do remove makeup really well but unfortunately they aren't the softest makeup removing wipes out there. They are textured to help remove makeup but I just find that it was a little too scratchy on my skin and left it feeling a bit uncomfortable. If you have sensitive skin particularly, these might be a little too abrasive. If not, they really do remove makeup very well so you might find them great if your skin is not sensitive like mine.

So there you have my review of the new Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water in Oil range. I did quite like the water but I found the wipes a little scratchy unfortunately. Let me know if you will be trying these out for yourself in the comments below and I would love to hear your thoughts on them too.
