When I think festive makeup, I think beautiful highlighted and glowing skin, tons of lashes and red lips. When I had to go to my work Christmas party, this is the makeup I went with and it looks amazing. It is also worth noting that unfortunately Australia isn't blessed with a white Christmas. If you live anywhere near where I do, festive makeup also has to be light and fairly melt proof to withstand 30+ degree heat.
Because it is so hot, I basically wanted my skin to be bright and luminous while wearing as little makeup as possible so I could still be comfortable. The focus is definitely that Becca highlight though! Plus, I wanted a red lip but I didn't want to look too overdone so a glossy lipgloss/lipstick hybrid was a great alternative to a more formal matte lip. Whenever I do a red lip and highlighted skin, I always like to contour as well to really sculpt out my face.
