Bioderma Sensibio Cleansing Milk AR BB Cream Tonique Toner review
If you have been following my blog for any amount of time you will know that I adore French pharmacy skincare, espeically Bioderma! I have been addicted to their Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micelle Solution ($42.99) for years and I also love the Hydrabio range that I reviewed here. I'm happy to report that these are just as amazing and provides a great option for those with very sensitive skin who have trouble finding products that don't aggravate their skin.

Bioderma Sensibio Lait Cleansing Milk $32.99
Bioderma Sensibio Lait Cleansing Milk review
I have incredibly dry skin so cleansing milks suit my needs perfectly. I think this would be perfect for those with dry, sensitive skin that reacts badly to most cleansing products. This is so gentle but still does a great job of removing makeup and grime from the skin. It left my skin feeling balanced, without a hint of dryness. The one downside is that I found I needed to use more product than my all time favourite Nuxe Comforting Cleansing Milk ($26.99). I still think I prefer the Nuxe one for my dry skin that isn't overly sensitive but if your skin reacts badly to perfumes and other potentially irritating ingredients, you need to check this one out.

Bioderma Sensibio Tonique Soothing Moisturising Toning Lotion $32.99
Bioderma Sensibio Tonique Soothing Moisturising Toning Lotion Review
If you use the cleansing milk, you definitely need to follow it up with a toner. As a no-rinse formula, cleansing milk leaves a lot of product on the skin that you then pick up with the toner. The duo of this cleansing milk and toner left my skin so soft and moisturised, even before I use my moisturiser. I couldn't imagine a cleansing duo being more gentle. No matter how sensitive your skin is, you will probably get along with these really high quality products. The Sensibio range also has a patented D.A.F. complex which raises the skin's natural tolerance threshold. Unfortunately, because I don't have overly sensitive skin, I couldn't really test this claim but I really do trust the science behind this brand. I have personally spoken to a few reps from this company to learn more about Bioderma and the dermatological science behind their brand, and it is top notch. For instance, they invented the skincare micelle, being the first to adapt it from industrial applications, which caused the world wide boom of micellar water rip offs.

Bioderma Sensibio AR BB Cream SPF 30 in Light (Pink Undertone) $43.99
Bioderma Sensibio AR BB Cream SPF 30 Light pink undertone review
Unfortunately this BB cream is like so many BB creams; the colours are way too dark! This is a constant source of frustration for me and I am so pale that I have basically given up. Even by my crazy pale standards, this is really dark and I would not classify it as light. It is definitely the sort of tone I would call medium. That said, I still tested it out for you on a couple days I spent at home looking like an Oompa Loompa. This did apply beautifully and gave a good, light coverage that really helped to even out my skin. You could definitely use it for your everyday coverage needs. I lightly powdered it to set and I found it lasted all through the day really well. I did love the SPF 30 formula of this and it really did give me some great moisturisation though I will admit that it is quite expensive for a BB cream. I think this would definitely be worth spending a little more money on if you have sensitve skin and constant redness issues. I really did like this one but they need to sort out the colours because this is not light and I really want to wear it as an everyday base! I wish at least one brand would realise how desperate us pale girls are for a decent BB cream because, if they made a truly porcelain one, it would sell like hot cakes!

Sorry but this is not light!
So there you have my run down of the new additions to the Sensibio range. I truly love Bioderma and really trust the simple yet amazingly effective products because they always get the job done. If I could only use one skincare brand, this would be it because I couldn't live without the Sensibio H20 Micelle and Hydrabio Serum. The science behind the Sensibio range is fantastic and builds the natural tolerance of sensitive skin, cleanses the skin gently and leaves it balanced and moisturised. I still love the Hydrabio range more because its perfectly suits my skin needs and that is a big part of why Bioderma is such a great brand. Their range is split into four clear and easy to understand ranges:
  • Sensibio (red) for sensitive skin prone to redness and irritation
  • Hydrabio (blue) for dehydrated skin
  • Sebium (green) for oily, acne prone skin
  • Atoderm (dark blue) for very dry skin and atopic skin conditions
Honestly, my bathroom cabinet is crammed full with all four ranges. I routinely use products from the Sensibio, Hydrabio and Atoderm ranges and I converted my boyfriend to the Sebium range months ago. I was generously sent these new products from Bioderma to review but I payed for every other Bioderma product I own and will continue to stockpile it. I counted them up and I seriously have 11 bottles of Bioderma in my apartment right now. I am obsessed! Seriously, if you haven't tried Bioderma, you need to.
