Marc Jacobs Makeup Beauty Re(marc)able Full Cover Foudnation Concentrate Le Marc Lip Creme Lipstick Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (P)outliner Longer Lip Liner Honeybun O!Mega Lash Volumizing Mascara review
So it is pretty apparent from my haul that I went a bit nuts at the recent Sephora Pacific Fair opening. One brand I went in on a mission to check out was definitely Marc Jacobs Beauty because I heard many good things. I ended up picking up the Re(marc)able Full Cover Foundation Concentrate ($79), Le Marc Lip Creme Lipstick in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang ($43), (P)outliner Longer Lip Liner Pencil in Honeybun ($35) and an O!Mega Lash Volumizing Mascara ($38) deluxe sample.

Re(marc)able Full Cover Foundation Concentrate in 10 Ivory Light $79
Marc Jacobs Beauty Re(marc)able Full Cover Foundation Concentrate in 10 Ivory Light review
I had heard so many amazing things about this foundation and I really didn't have a full coverage foundation so I decided to pick it up. As excited as I was initially by the great reviews and the fact that the shade range goes extraordinarily light, unfortunately this simply will not work on my dry skin. No matter what primer or blending technique I used it simply will not blend into the skin. Instead it seems to just sit on top of my skin and look very patchy and mask like.  I have heard excellent things from ladies I know with normal-oily skin who simply adore this foundation. I certainly don't think it is a bad foundation by any means, it is just all wrong for my skin type. If you have any dryness or problematic skin texture, this one probably isn't for you.

Le Marc Lip Creme Lipstick in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang $43

As soon as I watched this lipstick I knew I had to have it; the colour is stunning and the application was so incredibly opaque and somehow cream while still being matte. This is marketed as a 10 hour lipstick formula and while I won't agree with that, it does last really well, surviving a little drinking and eating. It also leaves a really nice stain as it fades unlike a lot of matte lipstick formulas that flake off in awful chunks. I was pretty blown away by the unique hybrid formula that is actually moisturising while also being matte. Basically, I love this lipsticks and I will definitely be buying more. The whole range has more gorgeous super-saturated bold shades than a girl knows what to do with but Infamous and Je t'aime are definitely at the top of my wish list.

O!Mega Lash Volumizing Mascara $38
Marc Jacobs Beauty O!Mega Lash Volumizing Mascara review
I was so happy to receive this gorgeous little sample in my goody bag at the launch event. This mascara is a dryer formula that separates every single lash, feathering them out for maximum effect. It doesn't build length and volume as well as some other mascaras but the separation effect is insane! I actually layered Benefit Roller Lash over this and holy lashes, Batman! This mascara didn't flake or smudge, lasted all day and was easy to remove with micellar water. I actually really like this one and will definitely consider buying a full sized when this runs out.

I actually ordered this online with my Becca Palette to put my total over $120 so I could redeem my birthday discount but because it arrive at the same time as my Sephora shopping spree, I figured I would include it. I actually purchased this shade because I thought it would make a perfect pair with my new Tom Ford Lipstick in Nude Vanille (reviewed here) which is a peachy pink nude and I was totally right. This liner is a gorgeous peach shade that has just enough pink in it to ensure it doesn't pull orange. The quality is great and while it isn't quite as good as my favourites Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat Lip Liner in Pillow Talk, the quality and longevity is still fantastic and the packaging is stunning. If you are in the market for some high end lipliners, these are definitely worth a look. I only wish they would add more colours to the collection.

So there you have an overview of my entire new Marc Jacobs Beauty Collection. I obviously didn't love every product but that had more to do with the foundation not suiting my skin type. The quality is still exceptional and while they are expensive, these Marc Jacobs products do live up to other brands and product in the same price range. Plus, there is no denying that the sleek packaging is absolutely gorgeous. I really want to try some more lipsticks and an eye shadow palette in the near future. If you have any recommendations for my next Marc Jacobs splurge, let me know in the comments below.

  2. I really want to try the foundation! Going to mum to pick me up a few sample in different shades for me this week then I can just buy online when I want to :) I think it will be ok on my skin which is combination: dry nose and area and oily to normal everywhere else!

I haven't tried our mascara yet... It's in my pile of "to try".
