Becca Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette Shimmering Skin Perfector Champagne Pop Prosecco Pop Mineral Blush Ameretto Pamplemousse Luminous Blush Rosé Spritz review swatches
I know everyone has probably seen this palette already but I figure that since it is still available on the Sephora Australia web site, I would share my thoughts if anyone needs some final convincing to pick this baby up. I will admit that I had trouble deciding if I should buy it, mostly because I wasn't sure if the more intense shades would suit my very pale skin. I am extremely happy to report though that this is an absolutely stunning palette and I don't regret purchasing it one bit!

This palette represents really great value for money at $89. It contains 2 Pressed Shimmering Skin Perfectors in Champagne Pop and palette exclusive, Prosecco Pop. It also includes three blushes: two Mineral Blushes in Ameretto and Pamplemousse as well as one Luminous Blush in Rosé Spritz. Here is the value break down to help show the true value of all the included products:

  • Two 5.4g Pressed Shimmering Skin Perfector (full size 8g for $64) - $86.40 value
  • Two 3.4g Mineral Blushes (full size 5.7g for $50) - $59.65 value
  • One 2.8g Luminous Blush (full size 6g for $53) - $24.73
So that means it has a total included value of about $170 for almost half the price which is incredible, even before you consider the gorgeous packaging which makes this palette desirable all on its own. The palette is housed in a very high quality beautiful gold case with a white enamel top. I don't really have to tell you how pretty this palette is, you can see for yourself.

Now for the shades! The Shimmering Skin Perfectors come in the cult favourite Champagne Pop and a new palette exclusive shade, Prosecco Pop. Champagne Pop is a pink champagne gold shade that is quite universally flattering for all fair-medium skin tones. Prosecco Pop on the other hand is a much more true yellow gold shade. Champagne Pop definitely looks better on my pale skin because Prosecco Pop pulls very yellow on me and doesn't look natural at all. Prosecco Pop would definitely work best on warmer medium-dark skin tones but I have actually been using it as an eye shadow. I have also swatched these shades below compared with Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Moonstone for comparison.

The blushes in this palette are gorgeous and super pigmented but they are also exceptional quality and blend like a dream. You just have to make sure you use a light hand and a less dense blush brush to avoid heavy handed application. My favourite of the bunch is definitely the more shimmery Rosé Spritz! It is a gorgeous warm medium pink with gold shimmer. Think Nars Orgasm but warmer and more intense.

Pamplemousse is more of a satin finish and is a much more intense bright pink. This isn't for the faint hearted but again, it is a really blendable and easy to work with. It you love a bright pop on the cheeks, this one is for you. Finally, Ameretto is a darker rosy brown satin that honestly is too dark and pulls quite muddy on my pale skin. That said thought, I have been using it as a gorgeous crease shade with one of the highlighters on my lids so this palette has been pulling great double duty as an eye palette too!

For all my umm-ing and ahh-ing about buying this palette, I am so glad I did it! It is truly a beautiful palette and considering I adore Champagne Pop and the two pink blushes, it is more than worth the price tag for me! I also love that I have been able to still use Amertto and Prosecco Pop as eye shadows to really make this palette worth my while. If you are still deciding whether you should pick this one up, I say do it! You don't want to regret not picking it up once it is all sold out.

You can get it online here and I know from visiting Sephora Pacific Fair in the Gold Coast that they have tons. If you live near a Sephora definitely check there because it seems like they got a lot of stock which is fantastic because I was sure it was going to sell out the day it was released! If you do pick one up or already have one, let me know what you think because I would love to hear from you.

  1. I am SO in love with this palette! I've found myself reaching for the blushes more than anything. They're so pigmented and a lot of my blushes are muted so I'm loving the change x
