Lottie London Make Me Blush Brush Soap Star Solid Brush Cleanser review
This cute brand has been getting a lot of attention since it popped up in Target Australia recently but it has been out in the UK since last year. I was really keen to try some things from the range because the adorable packaging grabbed me immediately. The bright, fun colours make them eye catching but lets see if they stack up to their first impressions...

Of course this is one that caught my eye immediately because it looked like a good dupe for the ever popular Beauty Blender Solid ($22) which is of course more expensive and also really hard to get if you don't live near a Sephora. The Soap Star contains a generous 30g bar inside a really well designed screw top holder with a porous sponge beneath to help with drying. I actually really loved the packaging and I think it is simple but works exceptionally well

The soap itself is 100% vegan and infused with coconut oil and shea butter. I have to wonder how important that really is though because even in my slightly out of control brush collection, I only have a handful of natural bristled brushes. I doubt those ingredients would make any difference on synthetic brushes. That said though, it is actually a really effective and convenient product that would be great for travel so you don't need to carry a liquid that may leak. As for the soap itself, it is definitely a soap and you can feel the tell-tale texture in your hands. I honestly still think I prefer detergents just as a personal preference but if you are a fan of the Beauty Blender Solid you will probably love this one. It made short work of my brush cleaning and even managed to get all the dried in foundation out of my Sigma F80 Flat Kabuki without too much effort which is always the true test of any brush cleaner.

Lottie London Make Me Blush Brush review
I am always happy to see new affordable brush ranges pop up. We are so limited for choice here in Australia and while Real Techniques brushes are great, they absolutely saturate the market and it is always nice to try new things. The bristles on this brush are really soft and it feels very sturdy. I was also really pleasantly surprised by the density and quality of the bristles for such an affordable brush. I would definitely say that it is comparable quality to brands like Real Techniques. It is a little on the larger side for a blush brush which means it would make a good all over powder brush too. That said though, it worked great for blush; especially my more diffused and natural everyday blush application. I really like it and I will definitely keep using it. I also really want to check out other brushes in the range after trying this one.

So there you have a little taste of the Lottie London collection. Overall, I really liked both products and I think they are great value. I would definitely recommend checking out the range next time you are in Target!
