Rimmel Kate Sculpting Palette Insta Flawless Skin Tint Clear Lip Balm
Sometimes new releases catch my eye way more than any others and this gorgeous new range definitely jumped out at me from across the store. The luxe gold packaging of the sculpting palette in particular is lovely and who can go past a good highlighter, bronzer and blush trio? I was so happy that this range lived up to my first impressions.

This one is already really popular and popping up a lot on Instagram and it is easy to see why. The packaging is totally beautiful and the shades are really well thought out. The highlighter in this is a quite subtle champagne shade that is perfect for every day. The bronzer is slightly shimmery but is still great for contouring and it is also quite subtle so it would be hard to overdo. It is warm but still a really balanced undertone that doesn't pull to orange. I was also really impressed by the blush in this palette. It is an absolutely gorgeous coral shade that applied and blends really well.

The highlighter in this one actually really reminded me of my Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow Palette ($97). Now of course that is an absolutely stunning high end palette and I am not saying it is exactly the same but if you don't feel like blowing 100 bucks on a bronzer/highlighter palette this Rimmel one is a fantastic drugstore option. The bronzer is pretty similar too but the Charlotte Tilbury one is slightly cooler and better for creating those sculpted shadows. The Charlotte Tilbury is finer milled and feels more luxe but so it should at over 5 times the price. This Rimmel palette is definitely a great bargain.

Considering I have dry skin, anything luminising and moisturising is going to be a big win in my eyes. The SPF 15 formula is very lightweight and even though the cream looks a bit orange from the tube, it blends out to just give a slightly warmer glow which still looks very natural, even on my extremely pale skin. I also have to note that it has a very pleasant fresh fragrance of cucumber I think. It did leave my skin dewy and moisturised but it definitely isn't as luminising as other primers that actually have visible reflects. All in all, I love the fresh feel and smell and the way it preps my skin without any shimmer. It is really lovely and I think it is a great primer for the price, especially if you have normal to dry skin.

Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Moss Lip Balm SPF 15 $9.95

I actually really liked this lip balm. It is a little waxy but it definitely works very well. It is designed to work particularly well under other Rimmel lipsticks and I would agree that my Rimmel Kate Nude lipsticks looked great over the top. It doesn't quite beat my all time favourite Nuxe Reve de Miel ($19.99) or Uriage ($11.99) Lip Balms but it is a great option nonetheless. I think it works best under lipsticks so I will definitely keep using it throughout winter to try and keep my lips moisturised during the day.

So there you have a full review of the latest new releases from Rimmel. Long story short, I am seriously impressed. At the very least, you all need to run out and buy this Kate Sculpting Palette stat! I am not even kidding. How often do you find a good highlighter, bronzer and blush all in the same palette for $16.95? I'm calling this as one of the best drugstore releases of the year so far.

Will you be rushing out to get your hands on any of these? Let me know in the comments below.

Stay Rosy.
