Oribe Haircare

Friday, 25 March 2016
Sometimes you just have the overwhelming need to treat yourself to gorgeous, luxe hair products. For those times, there is Oribe! Seriously though, these products are the epitome of luxurious. They smell like a designer perfume, make my hair insanely soft and help me create the best styles.

Oribe Signature Shampoo ($49) and Conditioner ($52)
So of course I need to mention that these are really expensive. Do you need to run out and pay 100 bucks for a shampoo and conditioner combo? Absolutely not. Will you regret treating yo' self and buying these gorgeous products? Again, definitely not! First of all can we pause to appreciate that sleek packaging with the embossed emblem? The Signature complex blends watermelon, lycee and Edelweiss flower extracts which all protect the hair from deterioration, drying and damage while smelling gorgeous. The cleansers in the shampoo are naturally derived from coconut, corn and oat to gently cleanse the hair without stripping it.

There are plenty of other luxurious ingredients that really do help justify the price tag and so do the effects. My hair was ridiculously soft but still very manageable. Often when I find a really softening shampoo and conditioner, it comes at the price of frizz and fluffiness but that certainly wasn't the case here. The shampoo is a gently foaming formula but it is really the conditioner that is a standout. It is the most luxurious thick cream and a little does go a very long way. This combo seriously gave me the best hair of my life and really exceeded my already very high expectations.

Oribe Supershine Moisturizing Cream - 50mL Travel Size $24 or 150mL Full Size $69
This is described as a leave-in conditioner but it is so much more than that. It re-hydrates the hair, calms frizz, boosts shine and definitely adds softness, all while perfectly prepping the hair for styling. I worked this through my towel dried hair before blow drying and it have me the sleekest, most beautifully soft and shiny professional finish. I really enjoyed using this one and could definitely see myself repurchasing it because it would last a long time.

Oribe Apres Beach Wave and Shine Spray - 75mL Purse Size $27 or 250mL Full Size $55
This one is definitely the one that impressed me most, probably because I was just expecting it to be a shine spray. Somehow this gave me the most gorgeous glam waves and all I did was put my hair in a bun with an Invisibobble while it was still warm after blow drying. What was even better was that there was no stiffness or crunchiness. If anything, my hair just felt more moisturised after using it! It is kind of hard to describe just how amazing this product is but if you love shiny natural waves and have the cash to splash, you need this in your life.

Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray - 75mL Purse Size $27 or 250mL Full Size $59
And now for the cult favourite product. This dry texturiser is the main reason Oribe popped up on most people's radar and I can see why. It gives the most gorgeous volume and moveable texture. Usually I don't like texturisers because they tend to knot up my hair and make it feel gross but this one is very different. If anything, it just makes my hair softer! It also somehow helped keep oil at bay because my blow dry style lasted about 3 days which is insane. It still looked great! I am by no means a pro hairstylist, but with this spray and the Moisturizing Cream I looked like I just stepped out of a salon. I am in love with this stuff and I'm kind of dreading running out because I think I will have to part with some serious dough to replace it. The price of beauty, right?

These can't be purchased online in Australia at the moment but they are stocked in salons all over the country. Just call 1300 825 122 to find your nearest stockist.

So there you have the full run down of by far the most beautiful and luxurious haircare products I have ever tried and dammit if they aren't worth every penny! I went into this review hoping I could say with confidence that they were more or less the same as other more reasonable high end products but they just aren't. I'm going to be so broke but my hair will be flawless!

Will you be trying anything from Oribe? Have you already made the splurge on these gorgeous products? Let me know in the comments below.

Stay Rosy.
