Favourite Hair Styling Products

Wednesday, 6 January 2016
I will be the first to admit that I am really lazy when it comes to my hair. I would rather do my makeup than my hair. That said though, I have found a few products that help me achieve nice hair with minimal effort which is exactly my style. Unfortunately these are all higher end hair products but I was sick of being disappointed in cheap hair styling products so I simply don't have any. Hair styling and hair care is one thing worth spending more on.

Pure Sensual Curls Curl Defining Crème $29.95
I picked this up randomly when I got my hair cut once and I absolutely love it. It isn't crunchy or oily at all but it gives my hair wonderful curls. I usually just scrunch this through my towel dried hair and let it air dry and it gives me beautiful smooth curls in my natural wavy hair. Another thing I like to do is to put my hair in a low bun until the top layers dry and then let the bun out and put this through. It gives me gorgeous waves at the end of my hair will keeping my crown nice and smooth. As an added bonus it also smells amazing.

Macadamia Professional Blow Dry Lotion $32.95
I have already raved about how amazing this whole range (styling and haircare) is but this is a particularly great product. It is a lovely lightweight, moisturising and smoothing blow dry lotion that just makes life so much easier. It smooths, defrizzes and thermal protects all while being completely no greasy or sticky. You can't even feel it in the hair but it sure does make a difference.

Keratin Complex Sweet Definition Texturizing Sugar Mist $31.95
I have always loved the effects of salt sprays but hated the smell, crunchiness and drying effects. This sugar mist gives the same upside without all the downsides! It works exactly the same, giving texture, definition and curl, while actually smelling good and not matting my hair up in a giant dry mess. I really think sugar is going to take off and replace salt sprays because I sure haven't touched my salt sprays since getting this one.

Redken Quick Tease 15 Backcombing Finishing Spray $27.50
I went through an obsession with 60s style volumous crown ponytails after watching the Man From Uncle and this stuff got it done. It dries matte, gives tons of lift and holds all day. It is perfect for backcombing but I also just use this scrunched at my roots to give some extra volume.
Cuz who doesn't want cute 60s hair?
So there are the styling products I reach for over and over to create very different looks. I know they are expensive but I promise they are worth it because cheap styling products just never seem to get the job done for me. I'd love to know what your favourites are too so let me know in the comments below. I have a Hairhouse Warehouse voucher to spend so hit me with your recommendations!

Stay Rosy.
