This year has been a blast and I have loved growing my blog and getting to know you all. I also found a ton of great new products this year which is an added bonus! My collection has grown a bit out of control but that is okay. I swear I started blogging primarily to justify my insane volumes of makeup. So without further ado, here are my favourite new products I discovered and fell in love with this year.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette
Unfortunately this one was limited edition but you can still buy the singles. This are probably some of my all time blushes and I love the Luminous Flush shade on the left. They are expensive but boy are the beautiful. If you are looking to splurge you should definitely check them out.
Left to right: Luminous Flush, Incandescent Electra and Mood Exposure
Beauty Blender Sponge $27.00
For the longest time I resisted buying this one because I had fooled myself into thinking that the Real Techniques Miracle Sponge was more or less the same. I was wrong! I have tried pretty much all the supposed dupes out there and none of them stack up. There is something different about the texture and the pores of the Beauty Blender which make it so much better. I find a lot of the other blending sponges are too smooth and slippery so they just don't get it done. I wash mine after every single use (yep, every day!) and I still have my original one. If you take care of these they will serve you for 6+ months. The trick is to wash it straight away so it doesn't stain and to lightly rub the surface while you are cleaning, never twist because this will lead to tearing.

Lulu & Lipstick Powder Brush $28.00
I actually got this as a gift with purchase when I bought a lipstick and it is the softest, loveliest brush. It isn't super dense as well which makes it great for light powdering which is what I usually do for everyday. It is a great size, nice and soft and just generally perfect. I have also never seen it shed a single bristle which makes me really keen to maybe try some more Lulu & Lipstick brushes in the future.
Rae Morris Mini Kabuki Brush $30.00
Guys this is probably the most beautiful brush I own. It just screams luxury. It has the softest goat hair bristles and a polished dark wood handle. The best part is the magnetic bottom which is makes it so convenient to dry after washing because I can just stick it too my range hood upside down. I actually think $30 is a bargain for this brush because it is such exceptional quality. It is the perfect shape for sharper contouring, highlighter, powdering under the eyes or any more precise face product application. If I could afford it, I would buy the whole collection because the quality is incredible.

Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Dragon Girl $39.00
This is most definitely my favourite everyday red lip colour. It is a gorgeous vibrant shade that would work well with most skin tones but particularly flatters my really pale skin. It is also blue toned which makes my teeth look whiter. I love the velvet matte finish as well which makes it a little more subdued and wearable than a super glossy red lip and it also last a lot longer than a glossier finish lipstick.

Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat Lip Liner in Pillow Talk $35.00
I will be the first to admit that this lip liner is really expensive. I have really pale skin and it has been an absolute mission for me to find the right shade of nude liner that doesn't pull brown and this is the closest to perfect I've been able to find. It is a gorgeous peachy nude that has just enough pink to balance it nicely. In addition to being the perfect shade, it is also an exceptional formula. It applies smoothly and never ever grabs or rolls while applying and has great staying power. Despite the price, I will not hesitate to repurchase this one when I run out.

Skindinavia Makeup Finishing Spray $39.95
Oh Skindinavia, where have you been all my life? This spray has so many amazing uses that I really can't imagine my makeup collection without it. It of course sets my makeup in place for significantly longer than it would last on it's own. In addition though, it also helps all my face products mesh together, gets rid of any powdery look to my skin and really helps with eyeshadow application to make shades more intense and longer lasting. I use this stuff basically everyday and it has lasted me ages so I would definitely say buying a bottle of this stuff is a great investment.

Charlotte Tilbury Bronze & Glow $97.00
If you are looking for old glamour chiseled cheekbones this stuff will do it for you. I have heaps of gorgeous highlighters so it was really hard to choose but Charlotte Tilbury won out because this product combines an absolutely stunning highlighter with perhaps the best bronzer I've ever used. The highlighter is a finely milled champagne shade that gives a stunning highlight without looking at all glittery. Basically it does everything you could ask of a beautiful highlight. The bronzer is also stunning slightly cooler tone which is perfect for creating shadows and contours on the face. It might be a big investment but the quality and well thought out shades make it a worthy splurge.

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara $40.00
Now for the mascara that ruined me for all other mascaras. I was lucky enough to get a sample of this earlier in the year before it was released in Australia and I fell in love with it instantly. It lengthens, curls and adds just enough volume to make it the perfect everyday mascara. I also love the brush which really does grab on to every lash and separates really well which is impressive considering that my lashes grow in all kinds of crazy directions.
Bare Lashes.
Curled with 2 coats.
Maybelline Color Elixir Lip Gloss $17.95
I have quite a few of these and and they have been my staple lip gloss for the last six months. I love the packaging and doe foot applicator and they come in great shades in a comfortable formula. There is not much else to say about these other than that they are great and certainly one of the better drugstore lipglosses.

Chanel Rouge Coco in Edith $52.00
This is hands down my most used lipstick in my collection right now and it has been for the last few months. It is an amazing moisturising but long lasting formula that just feels so good on the lips. I also really love this colour which is a great everyday warm pink. I will definitely be buying more of these because they are by far my favourite lipstick.

L'Oreal Lumi Magique Pure Light Primer $29.95
I absolutely love this primer and I really don't know why more people aren't raving about it. It extends the longevity of my makeup really well and gives me a really smooth base that makes my foundation application so much easier. It also gives the skin a beautiful luminous finish which is very subtle beneath makeup and doesn't look at all shiny. If you are oilier it might not be a good fit but if you have normal to dry skin and like a luminous finish, this one is definitely worth checking out. Also, look out for 50% off L'Oreal sales at Coles and Woolworths because at $30 it is a bit expensive, but for $15 it's a bargain!

Lancome Teint Miracle $55.00
To be fair, this has been my foundation for about two years now but during this whole year, I didn't find a single one that beat it. Chanel Vita LumiĆ©re Aqua came close but it is too expensive and I have to way use more so it comes in at second on economy. Teint Miracle is the perfect foundation for everyday with a slightly dewy, medium coverage that glides on easily and blends like a dream. I will never not have it in my collection.

Maybelline Brow Satin Duo $16.95
I have loved my Anastasia dip brow for a long time and everyone has already heard enough people rave about it. This Maybelline one is an amazing drugstore, readily available option that I like just as much. It is a bit like the Anastasia Brow Whiz but it also comes with a brow powder. It is cheap, convenient and really easy to use. I would definitely recommend it.
Bare brows.
With Brow Satin Duo.
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquid in Moonstone $66.00
I should not have waited so long to buy this! It is amazing and so versatile. I mix it with my foundation to make it dewy and luminous. I use it as a regular highlighter patted over my cheek bones and sometimes I even just mix it with a moisturiser on days I don't want to wear makeup. It is a gorgeous bright champagne colour that looks lovely with my light skin but would suit almost anyone with a light to medium skin tone. I just love it and I'm pretty sure this huge bottle will last me forever.
Heavy swatch.
Whew, that was a long one guys. I didn't want to just give you a list though because that wouldn't tell you why I like these products. I would love to know which products were your all time favourites for the year so that maybe they can be my favourites for next year! I hope you have all had have an amazing year.

Stay Rosy.
