December Favourites

Tuesday, 29 December 2015
Another month and another batch of favourites. I haven't bought many new products this month but there is a great mix of newer products and rediscovered gems.

Tarte Tartlette Palette $67.00
As soon as the Sephora Australia website launched I knew I just had to purchase this one. I always bemoan the lack of mattes in my other palettes so it filled a much needed gap in my collection. They are really well thought out shades and I can do a whole look with each row when I don't feel like thinking because they all go together so well. The quality is exceptional and they really. I can't wait to get my paws on the new Tartelette In Bloom palette if it ever gets to Australia.
Row 1 (left to right): Free Spirit, Force of Nature, Dreamer and Multi-Tasker.
Row 2 (left to right): Caregiver, Natural Beauty, Best Friend and Bombshell.
Row 3 (left to right): Super Mom, Wanderer, Power Player and Fashionista.
Rimmel Fix & Protect Makeup Primer $13.95
I have really been loving this one lately. It does a nice job of prepping my skin and extending my makeup but what I like most about it is that it has an SPF of 25. It is still really comfortable, doesn't make me shiny or greasy. Since I have been out in the sun a lot more it has definitely proved itself over the last few weeks.

Covergirl LashBlast Volume Mascara $18.95
I have just run out of my Benefit Roller Lash mascara and I was getting disappointing with most of the other mascaras in my drawer so I went back to this one. I really liked the waterproof formula I accidentally picked up instead of the regular but it was impossible to get off so I stopped using it. I really like this one and it gives me the right amount of length and volume and the brush is great for separating my lashes and building up volume. For the money, you really can't beat it. I think this one and the Maybelline Lash Sensational are my favourite drugstore mascaras and I have tried a lot

Maybelline Brow Satin Duo in Dark Brown $16.95
I have been raving about this one a lot lately but I have still been using it so much so it bears repeating. Sometimes I just use it without the powder for a more natural brow look but it is certainly flexible and buildable. Seriously, if you guys haven't tried this new brow product you need to.
Bare brows.
With Brow Satin pencil and powder.
Lancome L'Absolu Rouge in Berry Noir
Unfortunately, I think this one might be discontinued because I can't find it anywhere. It is a really shame though because I absolutely love it. I use this all the time as a lip stain. You could probably use any berry moisture formula lipstick. I just pat it over and then blend everything in with my finger and a bit of lip balm. It makes for the prettiest everyday lip colour.

MAC Pro Longwear Blush in Rosy Outlook $43.00
I am in love with this shade! I have so many blue toned pinks but I love that this one is really warm and rosy so it looks much more natural. The formula is fantastic as well and is one of the few blushes that last until I actually take my makeup off late at night. MAC make same damn good blushes and this is no exception.
Left to right: Lancome Berry Noir, MAC Rosy Outlook and Maybelline Brow Satin Duo in Dark Brown.
So there you have my December Favourites. As always, I would love to know which products you have been loving lately too. See you in the new year!

Stay Rosy.

  1. The Brow Satin is on my list as well! Such a good little product. The Tartelette palette is fantastic too, I'm also wondering when it will come to Australia to buy.

I love that you include photos and swatches of everything as well!
