2016 Beauty Resolutions

Friday, 1 January 2016
With another year comes another assortment of resolutions we will strive for and maybe probably break. This year I have a few beauty resolutions that I am really keen to stick to so I can expand my horizons a little bit or be slightly less lazy when it comes to beauty chores that, let's face it, no one really likes doing.

Wash My Brushes Every Saturday
Yep, every single week. They always feel so much nicer and blend more flawlessly after a deep cleanse so I have vowed that I will not allow myself to be so lazy this year! Well, that is my plan at least.

Experiment With More Colour
I am a self confessed neutrals addict, especially when it comes to eyeshadows. I can't even remember the last time I wore a bright eyeshadow shade and I really don't own many at all. I definitely need to change that this year and discover which bold shades work for me. The same goes for lipstick and I will try to reach less for my safe light pinks and nudes and try out some punchy colours this year.

Apply Daily Body Lotion
I usually muck around at night until suddenly it is midnight and I really need to hit the hay. Because of this I often skip my nightly body lotion because I'm just too tired and lazy. I never slack off when it comes to cleansing, toning and moisturising my face morning and night but I'm decidedly less committed with skincare for the rest of my body. I have really dry skin so it is something I know I should be doing everyday, especially when the weather cools off.

Stop Buying Double Ups
Now I don't mean two of the same products. I usually get so enamoured with a new product (especially eyeshadows!) that I simply need to have it, only to discover I already have almost identical shades already. I have started to check myself a little when it comes to this but I need to really identify where the gaps in my makeup collection are and fill those, instead of just impulse buying the latest hyped product.

Treat Mah Self!
I have so many beautiful pamper masks, scrubs and bath products that I never get around to using. They often just lay forgotten because I never seem to find the time. That changes now! I really think I need to set aside a pamper night every week just so I can relax and unwind as well as giving my skin some well deserved TLC. It also means I will work my way through my product backlog faster and be able to bring you more reviews!

Nails That Look Like I Give A Damn
This follows on from the last one a little bit but I always love having a nice manicure and well moisturised hands. I think it just makes me feel and look a lot more put together than I usually am. I really am aiming to have nice polish on my nails more often than not this year so we will see how I go.

So there are my top beauty resolutions for the New Year! I never usually make lifestyle resolutions like exercise more or eat healthy (though I probably should) because I feel like it is a waste of time but I feel like this short list of beauty resolutions is pretty do-able. Only time will tell. I would love to know what beauty resolutions you are making for 2016 so let me know in the comments.

Stay Rosy.

  3. You are trying to make your resolution more. These products were for the use of ladies and ladies only tell us about that product that if that was good for them or not good for their Hence somethings were more difficult for us which we saw here.
