Maybelline Brow Satin and The Nudes Palette

Sunday, 8 November 2015
Maybelline has been seriously knocking it out of the ball park with all the latest releases. I have been absolutely obsessed with the Hypersharp Liner, Lash Sensational Mascara and Rebel Bloom lipsticks. Thankfully, these latest offerings live up to the hype as well and are most definitely worth adding to your collection.

Maybelline Brow Satin Define& Fill Duo $16.95
I picked this up on a bit of a whim during the Coles 50% off sale not long ago expecting to just try it and go back to my Anastasia Dip Brow favourite. However, from the very first time I used it I was absolutely in love. It is so much quicker and easier than what I was doing before because I can quickly fill in the gaps with the crayon side, comb through with a spoolie and then finish with a tiny bit of powder from the other end. Its easier, quicker and honestly gives me an amazing effect. To prove how much I love this new product, I went back to Coles the next day to stockpile an extra two backups while they were 50% off. The only thing I do miss is that there is no spoolie worked into the packaging. It probably would have been impossible considering the double ended duo set up but if there was somehow a way to comb through my brows built into the packaging it would be the most amazing all in one. In any case though, it is pretty flippin' awesome, especially for such a small price, and I like it even more than the ABH Brow Whiz because this crayon is a little softer which makes it easy to blend and way more forgiving. I have been using it every single day since I bought it.
Bare brows. I am also wearing the Nudes Palette eye shadows and Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara.

Maybelline The Nudes Palette $25.95
I really didn't need another nudes palette to add to my horde but everyone was talking about it and it was half price and well... here we are. One look at my blog and Instagram should tell you I have no self control so there is really nothing new here. For the price, and considering this palette has 12 shades, I think it is good value for money. Do I own neutral palettes with slightly more pigmentation and "oomph"? Of course, but it is important to remember that they are from brands like Nars, Urban Decay and Lorac which cost 2-3 times more than this palette. I definitely think it is one of the best drugstore neutral palettes available in Australia (since we don't have great brands like Wet 'n Wild) with a array of mattes and shimmers and a well thought out colour selection. It has everything from mid lid shades, highlight shades, transition mid tones to dark definition colours. Some of the more statement shimmers (that gold!) are also stunning as well. They don't have amazing staying power, but they are okay for the price point, and with the help of an eye primer or a Maybelline Colour Tattoo cream shadow they will get you through the day.

Top Row
The first and third shades leave a little to be desired and don't really show up much but the rest are okay. The mattes are moderately pigmented but it is the shimmers that really stand out in this palette.
Bottom Row
Again, the shimmers are amazing and this whole bottom row is amazing except for the matte black which is kinda useless. If you need some mid to dark neutral shimmers though, you will love this palette. I would definitely say that if you can get this for 50% off like I did it is great value for money.

Like I said, these new Maybelline releases are just as amazing as all the other products they have been turning out lately. These are just great value for money, especially when you pick them up for high price and Coles and Woolies have been having regular sales lately. Obviously my clear favourite is the Brow Satin duo but they are both well worth the money. Will you be picking these ones up? Do you have them already? Let me know below in the comments.

Stay Rosy.
