Marie Claire The Parcel: Spring Edition

Thursday, 24 September 2015
I have always said that the Parcel is the only beauty subscription box worth getting in Australia and every quarter they just prove me right! Considering it only costs $25 per box, I always get a ton of stuff that is valued at far more than that. I particularly like that they always include major popular brands that I love and would pay for myself. I used to be subscribed to Bella Box and I was forever getting the most crappy little samples from the most random brands that you can't even really buy anyway which totally defeats the purpose. He is what I got this time and a breakdown of value to show you just how amazing the The Parcel really is.

John Frieda Frizz Ease Smooth Start Hydrading Shampoo & Conditioner $15.99 each
After trying and loving the John Frieda Luxurious Volume shampoo and conditioner, I was really happy to receive this in my box. It is definitely a brand I would purchase myself, having done so quite a few times in the past.

St Tropez Gradual Tan in Shower 50mL sample valued at $9.99
Full sized 200mL - $39.95
This hasn't even been released yet so to get it in this box is actually pretty exciting, even for someone who isn't really into fake tanning that much. It is really unusual and unique and to be honest, something I probably wouldn't normally buy but I'm really actually really keen to try it out.

MOR Rosa Noir Hand & Body Milk 50mL sample valued at $4.99
Full sized 350mL - $34.95
I have always liked every MOR product I've tried so I'm always happy to try more. It smells absolutely amazing and I really like getting these secure screw top samples that I can keep in my handbag for a bit of perfume and moisture throughout the day.

L'Oréal Paris Colour Riche Lipstick in 144 Ouhlala $21.95
I already have quite a few L'Oréal Colour Riche lipsticks and I really like them so I was very happy when I saw one of the shades from the new reboot collection. This adorably named shade is a vibrant matte pink. I think I will be wearing this one on the 25th of September for Bright Pink Lipstick day!

Redwin Coconut Balm $5.99
Another great small tube for traveling or keeping in my handbag! I love it. It is a very rich organic coconut oil balm for hands, elbows, lips, etc. It kind of looks like one of those great multi-purpose moisutrising products and I can't wait to get more use out of it. Plus, who doesn't love coconut oil?

Clinique Smart Custom-Repair Serum 10mL sample valued at $26.67
Full sized 30mL - $80
I really like that this is a good sized sample in a proper pump tube so I can properly test out the product. I often don't see the point in little skincare sachet samples which really don't have enough in them to see any difference for one or two applications. I actually need to find a good serum since it is one thing my skincare is lacking so I am looking forward to trying this one out over the next week or two.

Estee Lauder Modern Muse Le Rouge Eau De Parfum 1.5mL sample valued at $4.50
Full sized 30mL - $90
I usually go for soft pretty florals (think Miss Dior) bust this one is great for something a little different. Its much more dramatic than I would wear during the day but I will be saving this one for a night out.

So now for the all important question... What is it all worth? As I said, I paid $25 for this box including delivery and got a whopping $106.07 worth of value. You can't really argue with that, am I right? More to the point, all of these are samples from great brands and things that I honestly do want to try which just serves to further demonstrate how awesome The Parcel is. I certainly won't be unsubscribing any time soon!

Are you signed up to the Marie Claire Parcel? Are you currently receiving another subscription box? Please let me know your thoughts below. Even though I'm pretty sure this is the best subscription box available, I'm always keen to hear your thoughts on any other good ones!

Stay Rosy.

  1. Loved the box. The shampoo and conditioner sizes were massive (I thought they were just going to be samples??), and how do they know I need frizz taming? The color lipstick I would never wear normally but I loved it when I put it on!
