Review: Burt's Bees Lip Products

Monday, 3 August 2015
Everyone knows Burt's Bees for their skincare but they actually also do some pretty adorable lip colours too. They are all of course 100% natural and designed to be very kind and moisturising to the lips but all that goodness certainly doesn't have to come in bland or no colour!
Burt's Bees Lip Crayon in Carolina Coast $16.99
First of all can we just all pause to appreciate that pretty pink? I am actually really impressed with the pigmentation of these! I was expecting them to be like a tinted lip balm but they pack in all the colour and opacity of a lipstick which makes them incredible value for money. The formula is also really soft, moisturising and sticks around for longer than I would generally expect of something so moisturising which impressed me too.

Burt's Bees Lip Crayon in Sedona Sands $16.99
This is another great shade in these gorgeous lip crayons that are just so moisturising and nice on the lips. This one is definitely more of a true nude and would make an amazing everyday lip colour for someone who doesn't want the fuss of a lipstick. These crayons truly are great and are more of a sheer lipstick than a lip balm with impressive colour coverage in lovely shades. Even if you don't try these colours, you should definitely check out these lip crayons.

Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer Balm in Guava $9.99
This lip shimmer formula is quite different and contains peppermint oil for a cool, refreshing and soothing feel on the lips. Personally I'm not a huge fan of peppermint oil in lip products because it feels a little wierd but that it is a totally personal odd-ball preference. In any case, these are very moisturising and also have quite impressive coverage for a balm stick. This "guava" shade in particular is very frosty and quite opaque when applied generously. It is certainly something a bit different but I quite like the shade. Others in the Shimmer Balm range though are slightly less shimmery with more punchy tones so you definitely have a lot to choose from here too.

All in all, I am so happy with these Burt's Balm lip products. They are really moisturising, come in gorgeous colours, feel great on and are really affordable! What more can you ask for? I hadn't tried much beyond the Burt's Bees hand cream and cuticle balm (which are ah-mazing!) but I am so glad I did because their lip products are top notch too. Which ones will you be checking out? Let me know in the comments below.

Stay Rosy.
