My New Nuxe Goodies

Monday, 27 July 2015
Will my love affair with French pharmacy skincare ever end? I really hope not because I have been impressed with every single product, including these, and plan to keep trying out a ton more in the future. Nuxe is a slightly more luxe French pharmacy which is readily available here in Australia thanks to Priceline and other online retailers such as Ry.com and Adore Beauty. Literally every product I have tried from the Nuxe range has been absolutely amazing and I think these are some of the best yet.

Crème Prodigieuse Anti-Fatigue Moisturising Night Cream $49.99
I already reviewed the Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Dry Oil (here) raving all about how absolutely amazing it smelled and I am exceedingly happy to report that these night and eye creams smell exactly the same. I can't even begin to tell you how awesome they smell! As you probably know by now, I struggle with very dry skin. After only 3 nights of using this cream, my skin was significantly softer and more moisturised and the dry, flaky bits on my nose have even disappeared. I was really surprised and impressed and that was even going in already expecting great things from the brand. Of course, as a night cream, the formula is quite heavy but it isn't oily or greasy at all and still feels very pleasant on the skin. I would wholeheartedly recommend this one! Also, it has the feel and effects of a much much more expensive cream so I honestly think it is a bargain at 50 bucks considering that it is also a very generous 50mL tub.

Crème Prodigieuse Anti-Fatigue Moisturising Eye Cream $39.95
Considering all the amazing things I had to say about the night cream, it is hardly surprising that I really like this one too. I have always had a love-hate relationship with eye creams because I know I should use them from as early as possible to prevent premature aging around the eyes but I can never really notice any difference because my eye area is so young. This is certainly one of the richer eye creams I have used but it soaks in very quickly so you can use it in the morning under makeup as well as at night. It leaves the eye area noticeably softer and more moisturised. While I don't expect to see drastic changes in my eye area because there isn't too much to fix yet, I definitely noticed this one making things very soft and moisturised. It is easily on par with the only other eye-cream I have really liked in the past; Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye which is well over twice the price of this Nuxe one! I am absolutely going to be buying the day cream from the same range, which they make in dry and oily formulas, considering how much these two products have impressed me.

Nuxe Rêve De Miel Lip Balm $19.99
Okay first off, for those of you who think 20 bucks is a little steep for a lip balm let me tell you that this little tub is packed with 15 grams of product while the average lip balm stick only has about 4-5 grams. On a price per gram basis, this gorgeous Nuxe balm will set you back $1.33 per gram while a plain ole Chapstick costs $1.12 per gram. It is only a tiny bit more expensive and let me tell you, this one is way more luxe! First of all it has a pleasant but very subtle smell which is great if you are like me and hate really fragranced products. It is also a very thick formula which stays on your lips for a lot longer than most but isn't sticky, waxy or in any way unpleasant. It is also one of the most intensely moisturising lip balms I have used and I absolutely love applying it before I start my makeup to give me the perfect soft lip base by the time I get to applying my lipstick. I would 100% recommend this one as a bit of a lip investment because this tub will last forever and you will love it!

So there you have my three new favourite products from Nuxe! I definitely have a few more on my list to pick up at the upcoming Priceline 40% skincare sale (28th-29th of July). I would highly recommend adding some Nuxe, or any French pharmacy skincare really (Bioderma, Uriage), to your list too! I would also love to know your favourite French pharmacy skincare products so please leave me a comment below.

Stay Rosy.
