Charlotte Tilbury First Impressions: Happy Birthday To Me!

Tuesday, 21 July 2015
Today is my birthday! My lovely boyfriend got me these amazing Charlotte Tilbury products that I have wanted to for so long! Seriously, I don't ever think I have wanted to try a makeup brand so intensely and these three products in particular have been at the top of my wishlist for months. My birthday also nicely coincided with the Charlotte Tilbury site opening up for Australian shipping so it was meant to be!

Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow $97
I got mine in the original shade which has since been renamed Light to Medium since the release of a darker one. I have lusted after this palette for so long! I mean just look at the gorgeous rose gold packaging and those perfectly balanced shades! Not to mention the fact I have been watching all my favourite bloggers and celebs use this one for ages. I am so glad it didn't disappoint! The powders are so soft and silky and the colours really suit my pale skin. It is definitely love at first swatch! I also love that I can do quite a natural highlight and contour or really build it up for a night out. It is a very versatile products and as much as I love my Benefit Hoola I could easily survive with just this palette for the rest of my life!

Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat Lip Pencil in Pillow Talk $35
It is extremely easy to see why these lip pencils have been so popular. They are easily the best formula I have ever used. Application is so smooth and they don't ball up at all like pretty much every other lip pencil I have tried. The are also really long lasting while not being drying. I absolutely love this shade (even if it pulls a little browner on me because I am so pale) and I will definitely by buying more shades starting with Pink Venus and Iconic Nude!

Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G. Fallen From The Lipstick Tree in Bitch Perfect $48
How adorable is the name of this shade? From the second I saw this lipstick when it reached cult status I wanted it and even though it pulls slightly browner and peachier on me (again, damned pale skin) it is still absolutely lovely. It is a good alternatively to the overwhelming majority of cool, baby pink nude lipsticks I have in my collection as a warmer and earthier kind of nude. I am also really impressed by the formula which is a bit dryer than I expected (but definitely not drying!) but that just means it will actually last longer than an hour on my lips! I will only have to reapply this lipstick after lunch to have gorgeous nude lips all day which is a huge plus!
Left to right: Filmstar Bronze & Glow, Pillow Talk Lip Liner and Bitch Perfect Lipstick.
I am still floating on a Charlotte Tilbury cloud since receiving these today and finally being able to play with them. There is no torture quite as agonising as having a box full of Charlotte Tilbury you can't touch for a week! I am so glad I finally got these cult favourites and you can expect to see them in a lot of #MOTD looks in the future.

Which Charlotte Tilbury products are at the top of your wishlist? Do you already have some favourites in your collection? Let me know in the comments below because I am definitely looking for some more recommendations for when I inevitably place another order!

    1. Thank you! It truly is. They are expensive but so sooooo worth it. The good thing about the CT website too is that it is basically just a direct currency conversion. No hyped up Australian prices for once!
