Review: Covergirl Goodies!

Tuesday, 10 March 2015
I recently received a stash of gorgeous Covergirl products and I have actually been really impressed with all of them. These were all ones I had seen before and was interested in trying so I asked for some samples. I am so happy that they lived up to my expectations and I had to share them all with you!

Covergirl Colorlicious Lip Gloss in Honeyed Kiss $16.95
These were a fairly popular new release and I can definitely see why. They come in a gorgeous range of shades including this nude shimmer that makes a gorgeous topper or by itself. The shimmer is also really dense and you only need a very thin layer which is very comfortable and not at all sticky. It also does come off as glittery or cheap looking. I actually really like this gloss and I can't wait to try some of the other shades, especially the lighter pinks!

Covergirl Lip Perfection Lipstick in Darling and Heavenly $14.95
I saw a picture of someone wearing Heavenly on Instagram and just had to try out it out. These are actually a really nice formula that is moisturising but still sets well for decent wear. They are very nicely opaque and apply incredibly smoothly, especially considering the low price point! Darling is a typical Barbie pink that still isn't too much while Heavenly is a standout peachier pink. This one looks gorgeous even on my very pale skin and I can really see it suiting everyone.

Covergirl LashBlast Volume Waterproof Mascara $17.95
I actually really like this one and I got it after I mascara round up otherwise I would have included it! In just one coat it gives awesome length and volume and most certainly is waterproof. Actually this stuff will not budge to the point where it actually takes a lot to get it off which sometimes annoys me on tired nights when I'm trying to take my makeup off. It is one of the few mascaras that my micellar wont budge but oil-based removers do the job, so if you need a budge-proof, water-proof, outlast the apocalypse mascara this one is great.
Bare Lashes.
Curled with two coats. I am also wearing a light application of both the Covergirl eyeliners in this post.
Covergirl Ink It! by Perfect Point Plus Eye Liner in Black Ink $13.95
This is my new go to inner waterline liner! It really is as black as ink, really opaque and a smooth creamy formula that doesn't drag at all. It also sets nicely, lasts well throughout the day and it doesn't transfer like crazy onto my lower waterline, though it does initially before it sets like all liners, which I just clean off with a cotton tip. I am super impressed considering it is less than 15 dollars and you can always grab it on sale. If you want a budget friendly super black, creamy eyeliner definitely try this one.

Covergirl LiquilineBlast Eye Liner in Violet Voltage $14.95
This on first of all is a gorgeous brighter purple shade. It isn't quite as creamy as the Black Ink liner but it still applied well and smudges nicely for a smokey eye. It doesn't go on quite as opaque as other colours but I actually found this as a good thing when I was building up a smudgey line so I didn't go overboard. Overall I quite like this one and if you are looking for a plummy/purple eyeliner for a smokey eye give this one a go. If you are looking for a bold, crisp line it isn't the one for you.

So there are my reviews of my latest Covergirl products and I have been really impressed with them generally. What are your favourite Covergirl products? I would love to try some more so please let me know in the comments below with which ones I need to try.

Stay Rosy.

    1. Thanks! I tried it ages ago too and eventually graviated towards mascaras that were easier to get off but I do like that this stuff will not budge so I'm getting into it. Yay for Covergirl rediscovery :p
