March Favourites

Monday, 30 March 2015
Another month, another crop of favourites! March has been a really busy month for me so these are some of the products that helped me look polished and well rested instead of tired and stressed. Please tell me I'm not the only one that uses the 20 minutes of makeup application in the morning as a sort of meditation time.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette
Now even though this palette is no longer available my absolute favourite blush shade by far is the one on the left, Luminous Flush, which is available in a single for $46. I have been using that shade more than all my other blushes combined this month because I have fallen back in love with it/rediscovered it in my stash. It is a beautiful rosy pink that would suit almost everyone!

Lancôme Teint Miracle Bare Skin Foundation in 005 $55
Considering that my shade is now on sale for $38.50, I'm pretty sure it is being discontinued but if you aren't crazy pale like me you will be just fine. I have recently gone back to this tried and tested favourite since becoming frustrated with my Nars Sheer Glow. I love the gorgeous glowy and sheer finish of this foundation and the fact that I can always rely on it as a natural looking everyday foundation. A lot of people think of Lancôme as a brand for mature women but I can assure you their formulas are some of my absolute favourites and well worth checking out!

Beauty Blender Original $23.95
When I first got my beauty blender I found it took longer than a brush to blend my foundation in so I didn't use it for a while. Also, I will admit it is a bit of a pain to wash it after every single use, especially when you are in a rush in the morning. Lately though I have been using my Sigma F40 brush to buff in my foundation and then going over with my beauty blender to stipple everything in for an absolutely flawless finish. I also use it to blend out my under-eye concealer too. I have tried a few Beauty Blender dupes but the original always comes out on top. I have actually been thinking about doing a big comparison post of all the blending sponges so let me know if you would like to see that.

Pink Holiday Lipstick in Weekend in Como $28.75
I discovered this brand when I went to the Brisbane High Tea Party, where the online store Lulu & Lipstick was set up. I immediately fell in love with the gorgeous little gold bullet but was pleasantly surprised when I swatched these lipsticks and found they were a lovely creamy formula in a beautiful assortment of pinks, nudes and peaches. I have been wearing this one non-stop and in a perfect world I would have the entire collection of these lipsticks. I will definitely be buying more very soon!

Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer (10mL Travel Size) $25
Everyone raves about this primer so I just had to try it out, especially since the travel size one is actually good value ($2.50/mL as apposed to the full sized 30mL bottle which works out to $2.30/mL). It is quite a thin silicone formula that leaves you with a weightless, velvety canvas for your foundation to blend flawlessly. I will say that this is very expensive and I'm not even sure I will buy the full sized one when this runs out but I have really been enjoying using it this month.

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara $38
I have already posted a fairly extensive review of the new mascara offering from Benefit here, but I simply had to include it in my March favourites. In exciting news Myer has started to sell it online prior to the April 11th official release date. I was so excited to recieve this sample at the Obsession 2015 Brisbane Bloggers event and I was even more excited that it lived up to my expectations. While I still love Benefit They're Real for high drama lashes, the Roller Lash mascara gives an amazing effect with tons of curl as promised!

So there are my favourite products for the month of March. I would love to know what great products you discovered or rediscovered this month so please leave a comment below.

Stay Rosy.

  1. Lovely favourites! I will forever be jealous of anyone who owns the HG blush palette haha! I've never heard of that lipstick brand, but the shade looks lovely. I've been using Roller Lash pretty much everyday too! :)
