September Favourites

Monday, 29 September 2014
Another month has flown by and I am now disturbingly close to my thesis submission date so indulging in blogging the perfect escape/procrastination! Here are my September favourites.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel $24.99
I have been absolutely loving this moisturiser which is such a relief because I mentioned not very long ago that my skin has been going through a weird period and I had been having nothing but skincare issues. Neutrogena Hydro Boost has changed all that and made a huge difference to my skin! It is a water based moisturiser with hyaluronic acid which retains insane levels of moisture. Because it is water based it soaks into the skin in seconds which is why I love to use it in the morning under my makeup because it moisturises beautifully without leaving another noticeable layer of product on my face.

MAC Mineralise Skinfinish in Soft & Gentle $47
I know I am all kinds of late to this bandwagon but I am kicking myself for waiting so long to buy this. I know $47 may seem like a lot but you should really treat this as a great investment. If you are only using this for personal use I cannot see anyone ever running out of this stuff! You get TONS of product (10g) and only need the tiniest amount. Soft & Gentle is a beautiful peachy gold highlighter that gives the most natural, beautiful illumination. I still love my theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer and I wished this one was as finely milled, but the color of the MAC one definitely comes out on top. I know everyone has heard about this one but if you haven't tried it yet, you really need to!

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Vanilla $35 and Cream Blending Brush 12 $38
While I have found my perfect dark circle corrector in Benefit's Erase Paste, I still had to find my holy grail concealer and I did! This concealer is the perfect balance between great pigmentation, a creamy no-crease formula that just melts into the skin and a flawless natural finish. It definitely gives a more natural finish than the MAC Pro-longwear concealer in my opinion which I love. The MAC concealer is still great but this one is better. There is a reason this Nars concealer is a cult favourite with bloggers and youtubers. I also picked up the #12 Cream Blending Brush because I haven't been happy with my cheaper concealer brushes and I love it. I have been using this perfect duo basically everyday since I bought them.

Lancome Rouge in Love Lipstick in 343B Fall in Rose $47
I mentioned this lipstick in my review of Lancome lip products here and I have been using it a lot since. This was my go to lipstick for Pink Hope's Bright Pink Lipstick Day which raises awareness for hereditary breast and ovary health on the 26th of September. It is a longer wearing formula which is still really moisturising. The colours are bright and eye catching and I seriously love the formula. I need to buy many more of these!

Benefit Hoola $51 and Artiste Professional Contour Brush 55 $21.95
This duo is the perfect example of how the right brush makes all the difference. I have had Benefit Hoola for a while but didn't really have the right brush so I didn't use it very much. All that changed when I bought the new Artiste Contour Brush. I seriously love it and I'm not at all bummed I couldn't afford (or at least justify the expense of) the Nars Ita. I totally recommend it but if you do buy this contour brush give it a really good wash first because the dye runs a lot initially and dry it with paper towel so you don't ruin your towel. I know most people can't really drop $50 on a bronzer but you all need to check out this bronzing brush. It is affordable and absolutely amazing! Remember that Priceline regularly have 3 for 2 sales on Artiste brushes.

So there are my favourites for September. I would love to know what your favourite products were this month so leave me a comment below.

Stay Rosy.
