Haircare Favourites

Tuesday, 23 September 2014
HQ Hair recently had a discount on all Redken as well as sending me a extra 17% off discount code so I couldn't resist placing a bulk order for what is essentially my next 6-12 months of hair care. I have tried and used up all of these before and I love them to death so I wanted to share them with you.

Firstly, if you are wanting to buy high end haircare but hate the Australian prices please check out the UK site HQ Hair! They have a great range and I have placed many orders with them over the years with perfect service each time. They offer free international shipping which usually takes around 1-2 weeks to get to Australia for regular sized packages. If you order the big 1L bottles or any really big items they do charge £3.99 which is still really good value considering how big and heavy this order was. Also, please don't EVER pay full price from this website. They always have fantastic codes circulating so just Google them, join their mailing list, check their twitter, etc.

Enough sale tips, here are my go-to, absolute favourite hair products that I have been using for a while.

Redken All Soft Heavy Cream Super Treatment
This was actually one of the first high end hair masks I ever tried and it is still the best. It is intensely moisturising and leaves my hair crazy soft. The difference is really significant and it immediately makes my hair softer and healthier. I also like that it doesn't leave any reside at all which is a problem I have had with other hair masks. Basically, it is intensely moisturising without weighing the hair down or making it oily.

Redken All Soft Shampoo and Conditioner
Even though I recently tried out the Redken Diamond Oil I am back to the All Soft range now and I remember why I loved it so much. I found the Diamond Oil much too heavy and my hair looked oily earlier after washing than with the All Soft. Like with every product in the All Soft range, one of the main ingredients in this Shampoo and Conditioner is coconut oil which means it smells awesome and is really moisturising. It makes my hair really soft and healthy, while again not leaving any oily residue or weighing my hair down which means I can still get a lot of natural volume and waves when I use this range.

Matrix Biolage Exquisite Oil Tamanu Blend Strengthening Treatment
Sorry, for some reason this is out of stock at HQ Hair even though I just bought it but I'm sure it will be back soon. I cannot even begin to tell you how good this oil smells! Really, it is easily the best smelling hair product or even beauty product (period!) I have ever used. A hairdresser used it on me a while ago and there was no way I wasn't going to buy it as soon as I smelled it - is that weird? For an added bonus it is also a really great product too. I have been using my current bottle since the very start of the year every second day after I wash my hair, and it is only just running out now. It has helped to reduce the frequency of split ends, made my hair healthier and more manageable and I also use it to reduce fluff and frizz on bad hair days. Because it is a much lighter oil formula, it doesn't look oily at all and you can definitely use it as a weightless smoothing serum as well. I have some good quality Argan oil too but I almost never use it because this stuff easily comes out on top. Basically I love this product and if I could only have one high end hair product this would probably be it. If you ever see a tester at the hairdressers ask to try it because you will very quickly see what I been about the quality and gorgeous smell!

My sneaky extra… Korres Lip Butter in Quince

I have wanted this ever since I since I saw Lisa Eldridge use it for a really lovely everyday makeup look that you can watch here. Since I was already placing a big order and I had a great discount code that made it way cheaper than Mecca, I simply couldn't resist buying this. It is a really flattering reddish berry colour with a lovely moisturising formula. It also leaves a nice light stain even once the balm has worn off. If you haven't seen these around definitely check them out. They offer a really good pay off and are perfect for a very natural lip while giving you excellent moisture at the same time. The next time I have money and a good discount code I will be ordering a whole bunch of other colours. I love 'em!

So there are my favourite hair products plus a sneaky ringer. Which hair products are you loving at the moment? Do you have any old favourites you just keep going back to? Let me know in the comments below.

Stay Rosy.
